To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Sacco beanbag, Jarrod Lim infused Zanotta’s celebrated reissue with an “Asian Urban Living” sensibility. Drawing inspiration from the ingenious beaded car seat covers that are ubiquitous across Asian cities, the redesign brings an added layer of comfort and cultural storytelling to the timeless form. Each bead was meticulously hand woven and sewn onto the exterior of the original Zanotta Sacco, transforming tactile utility into a new narrative thread. The result is both playful and evocative, inviting users to experience the Sacco as a globally conscious artifact—one that bridges continents, celebrates everyday ingenuity, and reimagines a design icon for a new era.
